| Garden Design and Art Design
Each garden is specially designed for the client, taking cues
from the site, its natural and cultural history, as well as its
larger context. Gardens are meant to be seen from both the road
and from within the home, and are designed to be connected
physically as well as visually. Rather than create gardens that
are “pictures” for the viewer, Krawczyk aims to create places
for people: outdoor rooms that extend living outside the house.
When beginning a project, she looks at the site, taking into
consideration its physical considerations (soils, native and
existing vegetation, bedrock, soil moisture, microclimates,
patterns of light and shade, etc.) and looks at the aesthetic
aspects (views, colors, textures, forms) to create a memorable
place in your life.
Art
Krawczyk looks at how art and special features can be
incorporated into the garden. Additionally, she can be
commissioned to make outdoor ceramic features, such as
fountains, lights and sculptures for the garden.
Krawczyk is also a ceramic artist who specializes in outdoor
light sculptures, as well as fountains, tiles, and botanic light
sconces. Examples of her work are shown on this website. She is
pleased to take commissions for projects, according to your
specific needs.
